Pick a business. On the template, the only thing that changes is the name. Then switch it to inked and see what that business looks like when the site is drawn for it.

A site should feel like walking into the actual place.

Most “clean, modern” sites are the same site. Same rounded cards, same gradient banner, same row of three icons, same fonts every AI tool reaches for. It's fast and it's cheap, and it makes a florist and a law firm look like they hired the same intern.

We work from the other end. If your work is precise, the site should feel precise. If it's handmade, the site should feel handmade. Getting that match right is the whole job.

We're a front-end studio, so we live in the layer people actually touch: layout, type, motion, and the small details that make a page feel considered instead of assembled.

On the ticket

  • Brand-matched front-ends. Marketing sites, portfolios, and product front-ends built around one specific voice.
  • Design systems and tokens. Color, type, and spacing written down, so new pages stay on-brand without re-explaining the vibe.
  • Interaction and motion. Page-load moments, scroll reveals, and hover states that add clarity, not noise.
  • Performance and accessibility. Fast loads, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support, treated as part of the design.
  • Static and headless builds. Lightweight sites on modern edge hosting, with no page builder in the way.
  • Hosting and upkeep. We set up hosting, keep it running, and handle small edits. Bigger changes get their own scope.

  • Backends, databases, client portals. We stay front-end on purpose. When a site needs logins, booking, or email sending, we connect a tool built for it.

before you ask

The fine print.

Do you build backends, databases, or client portals?

No. CloakInk is a front-end studio, and we keep it that way on purpose. We build the interface: layout, design system, motion, and clean code. If a project needs logins, a calendar, or email sending, we connect the right tool for it, like a booking service, a form service, a headless CMS, or a platform you already use.

How long does a project take?

Most sites run 2–5 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on scope and how quickly feedback comes back. Sketch and Ink each need a round of your input before we move on.

Do I own the site once it's done?

Yes. The brand, the design, and the content are yours. We handle hosting as part of the build, so you're not stuck managing servers or deployments. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, we'll hand over what's needed.

Do you handle hosting and ongoing updates?

Yes. We set up and maintain hosting, and light maintenance is included: small copy edits, fixing something that breaks, keeping things running. Bigger requests, like new pages or a redesign pass, get their own scope and quote.

Do I need to provide copy and images?

Either works. Before anything starts, we'll tell you in writing what we need from you (photos, video, examples of how you talk) and what we're producing.
