CloakInk Technologies — Front-End Studio

Not just a website.
A signature in code.

CloakInk Technologies builds front-end interfaces for people and brands who refuse to look like a template. We study how you already move — your tone, your work, your world — and translate it into layout, motion, and type that could only be yours.

We build the opposite of a template.

Most "clean, modern" sites are the same site. Same rounded cards, same gradient hero, same three-icon feature row, same font pairing every AI tool defaults to. It's fast, it's cheap, and it makes a florist, a fintech startup, and a law firm all look like they hired the same intern.

CloakInk exists for the opposite instinct: a site should feel like walking into the actual place. If your work is precise and technical, your site should feel precise and technical. If it's warm and handmade, the site should feel warm and handmade. That match is the entire craft — not a color swap on a template.

We're a front-end studio, which means we live in the layer people actually touch: layout, type, motion, and the small moments of feedback that make software feel considered instead of assembled. No page ships until it's been argued with, simplified, and checked against the one thing it's supposed to say.

How a project moves

Sketch, ink, press.

Three stages, borrowed from how ink actually gets onto paper — because the metaphor happens to match the work. Each stage draws its own outline as you reach it. Nothing ships until the mark is deliberate.

Sketch

Discovery & direction

We dig into what you actually do, who it's for, and what "on-brand" means for you specifically — then rule out every generic direction before proposing a real one, with tokens for color, type, and layout you can react to.

Ink

Design & build

The approved direction gets built as real, responsive front-end — not a static mockup. You see working screens early, so feedback shapes the actual product instead of a picture of one.

Press

Ship & hand off

We tune performance, accessibility, and every breakpoint down to mobile, then launch on hosting we set up and manage so you don't have to.

What we build

Brand-matched front-ends

Marketing sites, portfolios, and product front-ends built to reflect a specific voice — not a stock layout with your logo dropped in.

Design systems & tokens

Color, type, and spacing systems documented well enough that new pages stay on-brand without you re-explaining the vibe every time.

Interaction & motion

Purposeful animation — page-load moments, scroll reveals, hover states — used to add clarity and character, never as decoration for its own sake.

Performance & accessibility

Fast load times, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support treated as part of the design, not a checklist run at the end.

Static & headless builds

Lightweight, CMS-free or headless-CMS front-ends deployed on modern edge platforms — no bloated page builder in the way.

Ongoing partnership

Available past launch for new pages, redesign passes, or evolving the system as your brand and business grow.

Before you ask

The fine print.

Do you build backends, databases, or client portals?

No; CloakInk is a front-end studio, and we keep it that way on purpose. We build the interface: layout, design system, motion, and code that ships clean. Backend management is a different principle that we cannot offer at this time. If a project needs an outside login system, calendar display, or email sending functionality, we can connect it in the right integration (booking tools, form services, headless CMS, or your existing platform).

How long does a project take?

Most sites run 2–5 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on scope and how quickly feedback comes back on each stage. Sketch (direction) and Ink (build) each need a round of your input before moving on.

Do I own the site once it's done?

Yes. The brand, the design, the content are yours. On the technical side, we handle hosting as part of the build, so you're not stuck managing servers or deployments yourself. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, we'll hand off what's needed to make that possible.

Do you handle hosting and ongoing updates?

Yes. Hosting is set up and maintained by us, and light maintenance (small copy edits, fixing something that breaks, keeping things running) is included. Larger requests, like new pages or a redesign pass, require a new scope and quote separately.

Do I need to provide copy and images, or do you write/source them?

Either works. We'll always tell you up front, in writing, what's expected from you (such as images/videos, examples of voice, etc.) versus what we're producing.

No discovery call required to start: just an email or Facebook message. We'll follow up with a few questions and a rough sense of timeline and cost.
